Client Snapshot

Titan Company Limited, part of the Tata Group, is a $10 billion global retail business and one of India's largest diversified consumer lifestyle companies, with a portfolio spanning jewelry, watches, eyewear, fragrances, and fashion. The company operates 3,603 stores across more than 440 towns and is growing its digital and retail presence in North America and the Gulf, alongside its established business in India.

That scale means Titan runs dozens of customer-facing applications where pricing, inventory, and checkout experiences all need to stay accurate at once. Qualitrix was brought in for test automation, synthetic monitoring, and functional validation across the following Titan businesses and digital properties:

  • Titan Watches
  • SKINN
  • IRTH
  • Taneira
  • Mia by Tanishq
  • Domestic Tanishq
  • Sonata Watches
  • Fastrack Eyewear
  • IBD E-commerce (US & UAE)
  • IBD POS (incl. Endless Aisle)

The Challenge

With this many applications, customer journeys, and business-critical data points that needed continuous validation, Titan's teams were leaning on a high volume of recurring manual checks. That made consistent coverage hard to hold onto and left several problems that kept surfacing:

Heavy reliance on manual checks

Teams had to repeatedly validate critical applications, customer journeys, pricing and inventory information manually, making it difficult to maintain consistent coverage across businesses.

Business-critical information needing constant verification

Pricing, inventory and other key application functions required regular checks to make sure customers were seeing accurate information.

Pricing and inventory that outpaced manual checks

With gold prices and stock levels shifting frequently, periodic reviews struggled to keep customer-facing information current.

Gaps between validation cycles

Issues found only during manual testing could go unnoticed between cycles, delaying visibility into problems affecting the digital experience.

Customer journeys that were slow to verify manually

Key end-to-end journeys needed repeated manual verification, making it hard to check them as often as the business needed.

No continuous read on system health

Between validation cycles, teams had no ongoing way to confirm that critical application functions and customer journeys were working as expected.

Delivering Trust at Speed

Every business in this engagement worked toward faster, more dependable digital experiences for Titan's customers, without trading away accuracy or trust. Here's how that played out.

Faster, more reliable releases

Parallel test execution cut the time needed to run validations, so issues could be caught and addressed without slowing down releases.

Fewer customer-facing defects

Automated checks caught real defects during execution, including display errors, false stockouts and filter-count mismatches, before they reached more customers.

Consistent experience across environments

Coverage spanned both staging and production, so what was validated matched what customers actually saw on Titan's live sites.

Reliable digital journeys at scale

End-to-end journeys, including Sonata's customer flow and the IBD POS Endless Aisle journey, were automated and run continuously as new applications were added.

Technology and Execution

Every friction point Titan's teams were running into, the manual checks, the gaps between validation cycles, the sheer scale of keeping pace with a growing application footprint, came back to the same root problem, testing that couldn't run on its own. Nogrunt, Qualitrix's agentic test automation platform, closed that gap. Here is what it actually did throughout the engagement.

Test case generation and automation

Nogrunt supported the creation and automation of test scenarios for critical business functions, UI validations, and customer journeys across Titan's applications.

Automated test execution

Automated test suites ran repeatably across Titan's applications and relevant environments, without manual re-triggering.

Synthetic monitoring

Recurring validation covered critical application functions, business data, pricing, inventory, and customer journeys around the clock.

Parallel test execution

Multiple test suites ran in parallel, cutting execution time and improving validation efficiency as coverage grew.

Execution reporting and alerts

Automated reporting and email alerts gave Titan's teams visibility into execution results and failures, supporting faster investigation.

Test suite optimization

As the number of test scenarios and applications increased, Nogrunt kept execution efficient instead of letting the test suite become its own maintenance burden.

The Approach

Qualitrix's approach paired test automation with continuous synthetic monitoring, replacing manual, periodic checks with automated, scheduled validation across Titan's applications and customer journeys.

Step 1

Prioritizing the checks that mattered most

The engagement started by identifying and prioritizing the business-critical scenarios and customer journeys across Titan's businesses, ranking them by importance and how often they needed to be checked. That prioritization focused automation effort on the areas where regular validation mattered most, rather than trying to automate everything at once.

Step 2

Continuous monitoring for pricing and inventory

Synthetic monitoring ran recurring, automated checks across Titan's critical applications, business data and customer journeys. That included dedicated validation of gold prices and pricing information displayed on relevant websites, along with stock checks across product categories against defined inventory thresholds. Dynamic website content and promotional prices were validated in the same pass, so what customers saw in the UI matched what was actually being offered.

Step 3

Automating Titan's international e-commerce experience

A major part of the engagement focused on IBD E-commerce, Titan's international e-commerce applications serving customers in the US and UAE. Qualitrix automated more than 250 scenarios across these sites, covering both staging and production environments so issues could be caught before they reached customers. Coverage extended across logged-in and guest-user journeys, product listing and product detail pages (including product visibility and key page elements), and the availability and correct functioning of payment options within the checkout flow.

Step 4

Extending automation to point of sale and specialty retail

Automated coverage also extended into IBD POS, Titan's international point-of-sale system, where Qualitrix automated the Endless Aisle workflow, including its key steps, buttons, pricing and the emails it triggers. Fastrack Eyewear received its own dedicated validation covering banners, product listing and detail pages, payment methods and promotional pricing. Sonata Watches' end-to-end customer journey was automated from start to finish, and individual pricing components were checked against the final price on every run so the breakup and total stayed consistent as pricing logic changed.

Step 5

Turning results into visibility

Every run generated pass and fail results automatically, and failed validations triggered email alerts, giving Titan's teams clear, immediate visibility into what had broken instead of waiting for the next manual round. Nogrunt supported this work throughout, handling test case generation and automation, test execution, synthetic monitoring, parallel test runs and reporting, which let Qualitrix keep execution efficient even as the number of applications and test scenarios grew.

The Results

Moving these checks onto test automation and continuous monitoring gave Titan's teams broader coverage, fewer blind spots and a faster path from a broken check to a known, investigated issue.

250+ scenarios automated across Titan's US and UAE e-commerce websites, covering both staging and production environments.

Six Titan applications brought under continuous monitoring, enabling recurring validation of critical business functions, including gold prices and inventory.

Logged-in and guest-user journeys automated alongside key e-commerce and POS workflows, including Sonata's end-to-end customer flow and the IBD POS Endless Aisle journey.

Gold prices and inventory levels continuously validated, improving confidence in the accuracy of the pricing and stock information customers saw.

Real application defects caught during automated runs, including incorrect address and username displays, products showing as unavailable despite being in stock, filter-count mismatches and technical errors within customer journeys.

Faster execution with a lighter manual load, as parallel test runs cut execution time, and the lighter manual load freed QA teams to focus on higher-value testing work.

“Earlier, we had to check everything, every day, high and low priority bugs alike. Qualitrix AI-led testing has helped us run scheduled checks that validate everything and send the results straight to our inbox without much effort.”

The Bigger Picture

Testing this much manually, across this many brands and channels, was never going to stay sustainable. Gold prices move by the day, inventory turns over constantly, and customer journeys multiply every time a new brand, market or channel gets added. The only validation that keeps pace is validation that runs on its own, continuously, rather than one that waits for the next scheduled check.

That is especially true as Titan grows its digital presence beyond India, in markets like the US and the Gulf, where IBD E-commerce already serves customers directly. A pricing error, a false stockout or a broken checkout step does not stay a small problem once it is live on a production site; it becomes a customer-facing one. By pairing test automation with synthetic monitoring, Qualitrix helped Titan cut repetitive validation effort, expand coverage across customer-facing and business-critical journeys, and get earlier visibility into issues before they reached customers or transactions.

If your business is still running pricing, inventory or customer-journey checks manually across multiple applications and markets, Qualitrix can help you build the same kind of automated, continuously monitored test automation program.
